Scenic Shores State School
Penfold Projects recently completed a comprehensive landscape maintenance project at Scenic Shores in Redland Bay, transforming multiple areas of the school grounds with a harmonious blend of hardscapes, softscapes, and playscapes.
With the school’s coastal location in mind, we carefully incorporated design elements that complement the natural surroundings, creating outdoor spaces that reflect the beauty of Redland Bay’s unique environment.
Our team enhanced the hardscape features by updating walkways, adding new seating areas, and integrating decorative stone elements, which not only improve accessibility but also elevate the aesthetic appeal of the campus. The coastal influence is seen in the materials chosen, providing a subtle nod to the surrounding landscape.
For the softscapes, we revitalized the greenery by planting native shrubs, colorful flowers, and coastal trees, creating a vibrant atmosphere while ensuring the landscape is well-suited to the coastal climate. These plants are low-maintenance and thrive in the bay’s conditions, providing a lush, welcoming environment.
The playscape areas received special attention, with new, safe, and durable playground equipment designed for active, imaginative play. With a focus on both safety and creativity, these spaces are perfect for students to explore and engage with nature.
The result is a beautifully balanced outdoor environment that enhances the learning experience while embracing the coastal charm of Scenic Shores.
Our field staff includes highly qualified landscape site supervisors and tradespersons, mobile plant operators, concrete, irrigation and maintenance staff.
