Mango Hill State Secondary College
Opened in January 2020, the Mango Hill State Secondary College is one of Queensland’s newest secondary schools. Penfold Projects was engaged by building partner FKG to complete the highly anticipated development, which now offers education to hundreds of students in the Northern Suburbs of Brisbane.
Our extensive scope of work for Mango Hill State Secondary College covers a rich landscaping scheme complemented by minor hardscapes and furniture installations. With the idea of providing a green and enriching environment for students to enjoy, Penfold Projects was tasked with the installation of up to 65,000 m2 of turf. This includes the establishment of soil and green couch to multiple areas of the property, including the sports field and oval. Concrete edging was also completed where required and multiple planting areas were created displaying a vibrant variety of shrubs, ground covers and ex-ground trees.
Additional furnitures including table settings, bench seats, sandstone block seats were installed to provide staff and students with communal spaces to congregate. Other miscellaneous items such as bins and flag poles were part of our scope.
Last but not least, the supply and installation of an automatic irrigation system to sport turfs and selected gardens and areas was delivered by our expert team.
A maintenance program of 12 weeks is now underway to see optimal growth and acclimation of all landscapes on the property.
