We are proud to have completed a wide range of works for ADCO Constructions at Brisbane City Council’s state-of-the-art Brisbane Metro Depot.
Covering 10 hectares, this innovative facility is designed to support the city’s ambitious metro project, providing essential infrastructure for the new electric, high-capacity metro bus fleet.
The Brisbane Metro Depot features advanced metro charging solutions, positioning Brisbane as a leader in sustainable public transport. Penfold Projects was entrusted with incorporating green elements throughout the site, seamlessly blending cutting-edge technology with the surrounding natural environment.
Our scope of works included extensive planting and turf areas, enhancing the aesthetic appeal and environmental sustainability of the depot. Additionally, we completed detailed sandstone work, which complements the modern design while maintaining harmony with the natural landscape. This work contributes to the depot’s eco-conscious vision, offering both functional and visually appealing spaces. As a critical hub for the metro system, the depot will play a vital role in reducing traffic congestion and improving public transportation efficiency across Brisbane. The facility’s sustainability features align with Brisbane’s broader goals to reduce emissions and build a future-proof transport system.
With the Brisbane Metro Depot fully operational, it will serve as the backbone of the Brisbane Metro, ensuring the city’s public transport network is sustainable, efficient, and ready for the demands of a growing population.
