152 Wharf St

152 Wharf St is an imposing 27-storey office building leased by the Australian Taxation Office. Developed by Morris Property Group, this modern tower is strategically located to benefit from near city amenities in the busy heart of Spring Hill.

Penfold Projects was engaged to soften the building structure at 152 Wharf St and seamlessly connect modern urban architecture with nature. This was achieved by integrating landscape elements into the space, following Brisbane City Council’s vision to keep Brisbane clean and green. The scope of works comprises extensive planting surrounding the building stretching to the streetscapes. This creates a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and a relaxing space for tenants to use during their breaks. Hardscape elements include the asphalt surface of the sidewalk, concrete garden sleeper walls and edges as well as tactiles, a trellis system and a bin enclosure.

Challenges encountered on the job include night works to minimize disruption of both foot and vehicle traffic as well as material delivery to upper levels.
