Why Clayfield homeowners choose Penfold

Clayfield’s character homes and sloped, established blocks often call for more thought than a standard new-build garden. Our team has built a reputation across Brisbane’s north side for landscaping that works with older homes rather than against them, from managing drainage on elevated sites to choosing plantings that suit mature, leafy streets.

Penfold Projects is also one of the few landscaping companies in Australia to hold ISO certification across quality, safety, and environmental management, so you’re working with a team that treats every stage of your project, from the first site visit to final handover, with the same level of care.

Backed by 25 years of experience and a string of industry awards, we’ve earned the trust of homeowners across Brisbane and the surrounding areas.

Our Clayfield landscaping services

Landscaping: from turf and garden bed renovations to full backyard makeovers, we tailor every design to suit Clayfield’s established gardens and elevated blocks.

Construction: our in-house team handles retaining walls, paving, concreting, and pool surrounds, so structural work and softscaping come from one accountable contractor rather than several trades.

Design: our design team works closely with you to create a landscape plan that fits the scale and character of your home, whether that’s a heritage Queenslander or a newer build.

Maintenance: once your landscape is complete, our maintenance programs keep it looking its best year-round, from seasonal pruning to irrigation upkeep.

Local knowledge that makes a difference

Clayfield is one of Brisbane’s most established inner-north suburbs, known for its heritage homes, tree-lined streets, and proximity to Kalinga Park and the Eagle Junction train line.

Properties here often sit on elevated or sloping blocks with mature trees and established root systems already in place, which means drainage, retaining, and planting decisions need to be made with the existing landscape in mind rather than starting from a blank canvas.

Our team has worked on enough Clayfield-area projects to know how to plan around these conditions, protecting established trees and garden beds while still delivering a fresh, functional outdoor space that suits the character of the home.

Sustainability and quality you can rely on

Good landscaping should hold up over time and work with the environment, not against it. Penfold Projects designs with water conservation, soil stability, and sustainable materials in mind on every project, and we back this up with ISO certification across quality, environmental management, and safety.

It’s part of why homeowners and businesses across Brisbane have trusted us for over 25 years, and why our work is built to last well beyond handover.
